Saturday

So today was rather peaceful. I spent the morning lazying around, watching tv, doing washing etc. Then this arvo my husband need to go over his preaching for the afternoon so I had to get out of the house because I am way to distracting for him! Haha. I went & visited my new neighbours up the road for the afternoon. Was great.

Lamp

So today has been a rather great day. Our dog Paddington went off to her boyfriends today for the first time & Im hoping that she is going to fall pregnant with little puppies! She goes there for the next couple of days for a couple of hours. Her little (well not so little, 6 years old) friend Cuba is so nice. They LOVED spending time together! It was really love at first sight! Haha.

So today I finally got around to spray painting my $4 lamp from the opshop. Im very impressed by it & would like to buy so more to do for the bedrooms...

Just Dreaming

Im currently at home from church sick. Eh. Im so over being sick all the time. Im off to a rheumotologist in 1 week, so I'm really hoping for some answers!

So in the mean time I am just browsing the net. I found some photos which I love...

If I could just change my whole house I would totally look at these kitchens for inspiration!

Our church has a oven very similar to this. I told my husband ( who is a Pastor) that when they make the new kitchen and the older ladies want to get rid of this oven I will have the oven for my own house!

I love colourful couches. Im thinking of getting my couch recovered. I dont like my couch, its really ugly, but everyone else who comes over seems to love it! I must say, it is really really comfy! I was thinking of getting the couch done white or black and the cushions done in 6 different retro patterns (Similar to the 2 couches below).

I also want to paint my house. (I just have a huge list of things I want done, haha). I want a red door.

Curtains

So yesterday was my day off. I like Fridays for this reason. I got a little bit creative and glued my doileys onto my curtains. Sorry about the photos, they are not very good. I haven't done the other side of the curtains as I didn't have enough time, so thats a mission for another day.

But i do very much like my curtains. I also went op-shopping yesterday and brought another knitted blanket. I think I am addicted to them! But they are just so good for winter!

Im sitting at home watching I Dream of Jeannie & Bewitched. I love 60's Sitcoms. They are so much better than the trash on TV these days! I love looking at all the old decor and the clothing. I love that the wife stays home and looks after the house & cooks and cleans. And i just love the houses. If I could be of born at any time it would of been the 50's & 60's!

I also love watching Here's Lucy & Green Acres (another two 60's show!)

Oh the 60's! I just love everything from those years!

My last week or two

Life has been pretty crazy around here. A wonderful wedding, a queensland holiday, plenty of lunches and teas. My dog has just gone on heat so she is being sent to her boyfriends for next week & really hoping she will come back with little puppies growing in her belly!

Last night I cooked my very first minestrone soup & it was amazing!

My favorite artwork in my lounge. It was a little bowl I brought from St Vinnies in our town & it just fit in my photoframe.

I recently changed my cupboard into my book shelf. I used to have cooking stuff in the top & all my knitted blankets in the bottom. I like the books being in colour order.

I've put a proposal forward to my husband to paint my kitchen yellow on Saturday. Like the yellow in the top picture. And buy some very similar handles. I think I could get it to work.
