Finger Licking Chicken

OUR FAVOURITE RECIPE!

I am not the type of person who enjoys cooking. I really don't like it at all, but i do enjoy eating so that can cause a few problems. When I have people over for tea the usually will be fed lasanga or finger licking chicken with vegies and chocolate moose for desert.

My mum and dad gave me this recipe book by Janelle Bloom for Christmas 2009 and it has been used very well. I hate buying recipe books that usually only have 5 or 6 really good recipes in it you want to cook for tea. So i highly recommend this because you want to cook ALL recipes!

Finger Licking Chicken Drumsticks

Serves 4

10 - 12 Chicken Drumsticks, skin on (I use chicken breasts cut in half)

1 Tablespoon Salt flakes

1 Tablespoon garlic salt

1 Tablespoon lemon pepper

1/2 Tablespoon smoked paprika

1 large lemon rind finely grated

2 Tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup Self raising flour

1. Preheat oven to 210 degrees no fan/210 fan forced. Grease large roasting pan

2. Place salt flakes, garlic salt, lemon pepper, paprika, lemon rind and oil in bowl. Stir to combine (will be like a sauce).

3. Lay out drumsticks in pan and cover in mixture above (You will need to rub it in using your hands)

4. Place flour in large bag and coat drumsticks in flour and put back into pan. Spray both sides lightly with oil.

5. Roast for 30-35 mins or until golden and cooked through. (I turn the chicken breasts half way through)

6. Tastes great with steamed vegies!

The Banquet

So after a lot of frustration, a lot of complaining to my husband, a lot of nonpositive thinking I have finally pretty much finished the design. I really like the back of it, still cant get the front 'just right' but i think by tonight it'll be good to go.

So I'm actually at work today in the bookshop and it's been so hectic. I've been run off my feet. 3 customers in 3 hours. Natrually thats sarcasim. So I've been looking at blogs all day. And because I'm on the computer at work I need to be able to see my idea's once I get home, hence posting them on my blog. So, I've spent way to much time today browsing blogs. I have fallen in love with our in particular. Its called Our Happy Home (I follow it if your interested...)

So inspired by all Belinda's amazing creations. It just makes me want to go home and revamp and paint and change my whole house. The good thing is that Mikes wouldn't care the slightest. He likes coming home to something different. He thinks Im clever. Ha. The only obsticle here is money. If only it grew on trees...

Wow! A log closest. Im not sure if you can see to well but in this photo its a piece of wood painted white and hung from the ceiling. Nifty... If only.

New bed head? I LOVE THIS! My husband is probs sick of me always wanting to change all the furniture in our house. I think Im ready to revamp the bed.

Its inspiring me to paint my kitchen table chairs. Ive been debating it for a long time... What colours... My husband is so flexiable with me revamping everything in our house...

I love this room! Love the kitchen table, the chairs. the light, the map.

And i really like the floorboards. Im currently dreaming of new floorboards becuase mine are so so so ugly!

Hmm. Well I have to many idea's and not enough time to do it. My life is just to busy ( I work 2 jobs, am a youth pastor, run a cell, go to a cell, do the majority of the graphic design for our church, go to church, have meetings every fortnight, {Last week between my husband and I we had 4 meetings on between tues and fri} Im a wife and a pet owner, and I haven't had enough time to clean my house in 2 weeks), and is only going to get busier! Will tell you why soon.
